中山市特殊教育学校(以下简称“中山特校”)创办于1989年,占地面积约3.33万平方米,建筑面积约2万平方米,现有40个教学班、近500名学生和152名在编教师。一、文化——滋润生命的源泉学校以“尊重生命尊严,创造生命价值”为校训,在校内设置了“生命”“缺残也能成仙”“孙中山先生”三大主题雕塑,以及文化广场、宣传橱窗等,使学生得到校园文化和班级文化的熏陶。学校建有多功能感官室、感觉统合训练室、康复室、体育馆、游泳池、大型游乐场等功能场室,并配备了运动治疗器械、蒙台索利教具、奥尔夫音乐乐器等设施,为学生提供了良好的教育和康复治疗条件。
