我县农田害鼠以大仓鼠、黑线仓鼠和黑线姬鼠为主,自1983年以来,经试验推广玉米芯蘸磷化锌毒糊堵洞,此法老鼠死在洞内,不污染环境,无二次中毒现象。在春、秋两季采用此法,4年累计防治294万亩次,堵洞1643余万个,杀灭田鼠558.62万只,挽回粮油损失约4.47万吨,害鼠密度由原来的9.27％降到1.03％,1987年冬经潍坊市灭鼠领导小组考核,定为无鼠害县。
