语言是文化的产物,每一种语言中都蕴涵着该地区,该民族的文化。而翻译作为语言和语言之间,文化和文化之间交流的桥梁,是对在不同社会环镜和文化背景等条件下所形成的文字进行转换,是将目的语言文化转换为源语言文化的过程。因此翻译和文化有着非常紧密的关系。一段时间以来,翻译工作者在翻译实践中发现,在翻译过程中遇到的最大困难不是语法和词汇,而是来自于对于不同文化背景的误解和困惑。正是这种语言与文化的这种紧密的关系,使得我们在进行翻译工作的时候必须特别重视语言之间的文化差异,深刻理解各自的社会环境和文化背景,才能跨越语言的障碍,准确表达出原文所承载的思想内容和含义。
