广播电视大学是采用广播、电视和视听教材等为媒体进行远距离教学的开放型高等学校。它在教学上实行统筹规划、分级管理,具有媒体先进、覆盖广泛,延伸力强、开放灵活的特征。通过十余年的努力,它在弥补由于十年浩劫造成的专科层次人才短缺、学历水准严重失衡、发展壮大地方经济等方面都取得了积极的、卓有成效的建树。而文科类的发展更迅猛异常而又步履稳健,已经构建成上下结合、专兼结合、主辅结合的有特色的教育网落,培养了大批文科类应用型专门人才,并以其令人信服的质量和相当规模的数量赢得了社会各界的广泛认同与肯定。这其中无疑凝结着各级各类辅导教师的辛苦劳动和无私奉献,但仍有不少同志在敬慕主讲教师,欣赏先进教学手段的同时,还存在着对辅导尤其是面授辅导不够重视甚至妄加否定的认识上的偏颇。这在相当程度上阻碍了文科面授辅导队伍的发展和辅导教师工作积极性、主动性的发挥,影响了教学环节的完善和电大文科教学质量的提高。本文拟就面授辅导在电大文科教学中的地位与作用略陈拙见,以就正于方家。
