秦皇岛位于河北省东北部,北纬39°24′~40°37′,东经118°33′~119°51′,南临渤海,北依燕山,东接辽宁省葫芦岛市绥中县,西接唐山,近京津,位于最具发展潜力的环渤海经济圈中心地带,是东北与华北两大经济区的结合部,现辖海港区、山海关区、北戴河区3个城市区,抚宁县、昌黎县、卢龙县、青龙满族自治县4个县,以及秦皇岛经济技术开发区、北戴河新区两个经济区,陆域面积7812平方公里,人口302万。2012年地区生产总值1139亿元,全部财政收入195亿元。

In 2012, the regional GDP reached 113.9 billion yuan with a total fiscal revenue of 19.5 billion yuan.
