Understand the content includes the original vocabulary, grammar and pragmatics in three areas. Understanding can we grasp the exact meaning of the vocabulary, to understand the grammatical structure and pragmatic environment; understanding can distinguish the meaning of the word, the correct use; understanding can understand the intention of speech, smooth expression; understanding can improve memory efficiency. Only by comprehending ways can we really learn English well. This article analyzes the reasons why understanding is crucial to translation, identifies mistakes or deficiencies in teaching, and proposes ways and means to improve translation through the development of comprehension skills.
