近几年,我先后出版了《广府寻根——中国最大一个移民族群探奥》、 《广府海韵——珠江文化与海上丝绸之路》、 《千年国门》等多部研究广府文化、广府民系的理论专著及历史报告文学,为广府学的创立大声疾呼,并且打下了坚实的基础。在这系列专著中,西江,无疑是占有非常显著的地位。 如果说,黄河、长江、珠江同是中华民族的母亲河的话,那么,作为珠江的主干流——西江,则是孕育了汉民族一个重要民系——广府民系的摇篮,这个结论,是我前边几本书中所作出的,借此次西江文化研讨会的机会,我来专题论证这一命题。
