“The discovery of hydrocarbons in a country, a state, or a geologic region has passed its golden age.” In fact, this view has become commonplace since the first well was opened in 1859. However, there are far more unexplored hydrocarbons in the world than we have already discovered, and a large part of it is pinned on mature basins. So the main theme of this paper can be set in one sentence, that is, it is impossible to determine whether there is such a kind of production basin or area in the world that can be said to have been thoroughly evaluated.
