美国Helisys公司的LOM(Laminated Object Manufactur-ing)系统,是现今快速原型应用中比较理想的一种系统。它独树一帜,以纸片(也可用塑胶或纤维混合料)为原料,直接从CAD三维数据生产出原型,经济实用。LOM的主要应用场合:·直接熔模铸造.因LOM模型不会膨胀,不会把陶瓷外壳挤破,所以特别适用于熔模铸造。·非直接熔模铸造.LOM模型可作为廉价模具,用来小批量制造蜡模,用于熔模铸造。·硅胶模具.LOM模型不会有相位改变并可抵抗收缩,特别适用于制造精密硅胶模具。·真空吸塑.LOM模型可承受高温和高压,适用于真空吸塑工艺。·各种模具制造.纸模腔只需涂脱模剂并注满原料即可制造出各种模具;坚固的纤维混合料,可承受高温和高压,可直接制造塑胶注塑模具。·砂型铸造.因LOM过程中,只需经过每一横截面的周边,加上价廉的原材料,特别适合于制造体积庞大(LOM—2030的成品尺寸可达800mm×550mm×500mm)的实心固体模型用于砂型铸造。
The LIS (Laminated Object Manufactur-ing) system from Helisys in the United States is an ideal system in today’s rapid prototyping applications. It is unique, with paper (also available plastic or fiber mixture) as raw material, directly from the CAD three-dimensional data to produce a prototype, economical and practical. The main application of LOM: Direct Investment Casting, because LOM model will not swell, will not crush the ceramic shell, it is particularly suitable for investment casting.
