On July 31, 2003, Guan Yongyi of the Liaoning Maritime Safety Inspection Bureau at Gangwan Bridge in Zhongshan District, Dalian, said that around 10:00, he strolled through the office on the 17th floor and suddenly discovered that there was a mountain on the endless sea. Illusory, confusing, very beautiful. He quickly called his colleagues to see the spectacle. A colleague also recorded the landscape with a digital video camera. “Is it a mirage?” said Guan Yongyi. These mountains have been changing, and sometimes the mountains are clearer. Sometimes the hills are clearer, and they seem to be constantly shifting. The eastern sea is the contour of rolling hills. For a moment, there are about a dozen or so small hills, and the shadow of a chimney can still be seen on a hilltop. Later, the mountains on the sea gradually narrowed and the outline was somewhat blurred.
