“延伸交往”从崭新的维度丰富了群体间交往中“交往”这一核心概念的内涵和外延。直接交往并非人们形成或强化对外群体态度的唯一途径。通过“延伸交往”这种群体间交往的间接方式也能够形成、强化对外群体的态度。本文对“延伸交往”研究的新议题和新动向进行考察,运用减少焦虑/不确定性理论、意见气候的概念、沉默螺旋理论剖析延伸交往如何影响人们的群体间态度,在多层面的社会语境中探讨跨文化人际交往中延伸交往研究的现实意义,为群体间交往的研究范式拓展出新的讨论空间。
“Extending contacts ” enriched the connotation and extension of the core concept of “engagement ” from the new dimension. Direct contact is not the only way people form or reinforce attitudes toward outsiders. It is also possible to form and strengthen the attitudes of outsiders through the indirect means of “extending contacts” between groups. This paper examines the new issues and new trends in the study of “extended contacts”. By using the concepts of reduced anxiety / uncertainty, the concept of climate of opinion, and silent spiral theory, this paper analyzes how extended contacts affect the attitude of people in different groups. Social context to explore the practical significance of the research on the extension of intercourse in intercultural communication and to expand the space for discussion on the research paradigm of intercourse.
