日本文化讲求“以和为贵”。日语中的许多省略表达,就是日本人“和”的思想的重要体现。日本人习惯于采取话说一半的暧昧表达,渴望他人体察自己的心思。这种语言表达形成了日本人独特的体察文化,即通过委婉迂回的表达,避免给对方造成伤害以及增添负担,从而维持和谐的人际关系。本文通过列举日语中一些省略表达,来初步了解日本人独特的体察文化,并揭示这种文化的功能以及产生的原因。
Japanese culture emphasizes “harmony is expensive ”. The omission of expression in many Japanese is an important manifestation of the Japanese “and” thinking. Japanese are accustomed to take half the words ambiguous expression, longing for others to understand their own thoughts. This linguistic expression creates a unique culture of Japanese perception that maintains harmonious interpersonal relationships through euphemism and circumvented expression that avoids hurting and burdensing each other. This article gives an initial understanding of Japanese’s unique culture of investigation by enumerating some omissions in Japanese, and reveals the function of this culture and its causes.
