“教有法,无定法”几乎成了语文教学的一条原则。这一提法固然能反映语文教学的丰富性,但反映不了语文教学的科学性,更表述不了语文教学的规律性。一经解剖,就不难发现,这种提法的最大缺陷就是否定了教学方法的科学性。如果承认教学方法也是一门科学的话,那么它必然是语文教学途径的本质反映,也必定有规律可寻,正如写字“永字八法”那样,有一个基本程式,基本步骤,基本要领。教学的程式不等于教学的程式化。一种事物之所以区别于其它事物,就在于有其个性;一门科学之所以被人们所公认能独立
“Teach a law, no law” has almost become a principle of language teaching. Although this formulation can reflect the richness of Chinese teaching, it can not reflect the scientificity of Chinese teaching, and can not express the regularity of Chinese teaching. Once dissected, it is not difficult to find that the biggest drawback of this formulation is the negation of the scientific teaching methods. If we admit that the teaching method is also a science, then it must inevitably be the essential reflection of the language teaching methods, and it must be found in a regular way. Just like writing “the permanent eight methods,” there is a basic program, basic steps and basic essentials. The teaching program does not mean the teaching of programming.
