通过对新汶煤田太原组和山西组中的孢粉化石的研究,共鉴定出孢粉化石52属154种,其中太原组38属140种,山西组32属135种。根据孢粉属种组成和含量在纵向上的变化共建立了两个孢粉组合带(自上而下):ⅡGulisporitescochlearius-Sinulatisporitessinensis带和ⅠLaevigatosporites-Thymospora带。通过与华北部分地区石炭一二叠记孢粉组合带对比,新汶煤田的这两个孢粉组合所代表的地质时代分别为晚石炭世晚期和早二叠早期。
A total of 154 species of 52 genera of sporopollen assemblages were identified from the Taiyuan and Shanxi groups in the Xinwen coalfield. Among them, there are 140 species in 38 genera of Taiyuan and 135 species in 32 genera in Shanxi. Two sporopollen assemblages (top-down) were established based on the changes of composition and content of sporopollen in the longitudinal direction: the ⅡGulisporitescochlearius-Sinulatisporitessinensis zone and theLaevigatosporites-Thymospora zone. By comparison with the Permian-Permian sporopollen belt in some parts of North China, the geologic age represented by the two sporopollen assemblages in the Xinwen coalfield is Late Late Carboniferous and Early Early Permian, respectively.
