The authors of this paper mainly report the reaction of highly purified interferon (HuIFNα) in healthy volunteers. Both interferon used stimulate Sendai virus to stimulate human leukocyte production. One is PIF, a partially purified interferon with an interferon titer of 9 million reference units (MU / ml) per milliliter and a specific activity of 1.5 MU / mg of protein (about 0.3% of neat interferon protein). The other is NK2IF, which is purified twice on a NK2-dextran 4B column with a monoclonal anti-interferon antibody and then filtered through a 0.45μ microporous membrane filter.
