何大一,一位来自台湾的美国华裔科学家,在去年岁末几乎一夜之间成了轰动全球的“爱滋病克星”。自从美国《时代》周刊去年底公布了他的研究成果,并评选他为1996年的“风云人物”后,全世界的新闻媒体都在追踪他,无数双绝望的眼睛都在企盼着他。 去年7月,在加拿大温哥华举行的一次国际性爱滋病毒研讨会上,何大一提出了一项创新的实验疗法,与会者为之一震。他宣布:根据他长期的临床试验证明,爱滋病并非无法征服的人类绝症！何大一的这一论断和他发明的疗法,从根本上改变了科学界对人类与爱滋病毒搏斗的观念与方法,使得全球濒临绝境的爱滋病患者重新获得生命的希望。
Ho young man, a Chinese American scientist from Taiwan, became the “AIDS killer” of the world almost overnight by the end of last year. Since the publication of his research results by the U.S. “Time” magazine at the end of last year and the selection of him as the “man of the year” in 1996, the news media around the world have been following him and numerous double hopeless eyes are waiting for him. In July last year, at an international HIV symptomatic symposium in Vancouver, Canada, Dr Ho proposed an innovative experimental therapy, and the participants were shocked.
