The increased use of military avionics equipment, requiring complex wire interconnections, poses some serious problems in terms of reliability, maintainability, cost and size. In order to solve these problems, the military has simultaneously started to improve special cables and connecting elements; to develop a common termination system and equipment matrix interconnection system. These plans are part of an overall plan to significantly improve the reliability and maintainability of aircraft routing systems in the future. This article discusses the following: Wire - Post Terminations, Flat Wire Cables and Connectors, a New Concept for Universal Termination Connectors and Military Avionics Interconnection Systems. This article describes the existing work and gives the results of the research.
