河南省地跨淮河、黄河、长江、海河四大流域,总面积16.7万km~2,耕地面积677.4万hm~2。截至1997年10月底,我省有14个地级市,3个地区,24个县级市,90个县,43个市辖区。这些中小城市构成我省各地的政治、经济、文化中心和交通枢纽。解放以后,尤其是改革开放以来,河南成为我国工业建设重点地区,在洛阳、郑州、平顶山、安阳等城市形成了一些新的工业基地。这些中小城市的快速发展为我省社会主义事业的建设和人民生活水平
Henan across the Huaihe River, the Yellow River, the Yangtze River, Haihe River Basin, with a total area of 167000 km ~ 2, arable land area of 6.777 million hm ~ 2. As of the end of October 1997, the province has 14 prefecture-level cities, 3 regions, 24 county-level cities, 90 counties and 43 municipal districts. These small and medium-sized cities constitute the political, economic and cultural centers and transport hubs throughout our province. Since the liberation, especially since the reform and opening up, Henan has become a key area for industrial construction in our country and has formed some new industrial bases in cities such as Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Pingdingshan and Anyang. The rapid development of these small and medium-sized cities is the construction of the cause of socialism in our province and the standard of living of the people
