西方美术史上的素描和色彩之争主要体现在16世纪至19世纪中期,尤为突出的是文艺复兴时期,当时由于政治、文化、科技等的不断变革,人们对生活的激情与对宗教束缚的抗争,通过绘画的艺术形式表现出来,诞生了重素描关系的画派:佛罗伦萨画派和重色彩关系的画派:威尼斯画派。所以素描与色彩的争端,原起就发生在意大利的两大传统中,即中部画派和威尼斯画派较量。前者以米开朗基罗和拉斐尔为代表的画风,后者以提香和乔尔乔内为代表的画风。
The struggle between sketch and color in Western art history was mainly manifested in the period from the 16th century to the mid 19th century. The Renaissance was particularly prominent. At that time, due to the continuous transformation of politics, culture and science and technology, people’s passion for life and resistance to religious bondage , Through the artistic form of painting, was born, drawing a heavy sketch relationship between the school: Florence School and heavy color relationship of the school: Venice school. The former style is represented by Michelangelo and Rafael, the latter is represented by the paintings of Titian and Giorgio.
