1949年10月1日15时,天安门广场,五星红旗冉冉升起,毛泽东主席向全世界庄严宣告:中华人民共和国中央人民政府今天正式成立了。仅仅过了3个小时,从苏联首都莫斯科拍来了世界上第一份外交贺电:苏维埃社会主义共和国联盟热烈祝贺中华人民共和国的成立,并正式承认中华人民共和国中央人民政府。毛泽东和他的同事们久久悬着的心落了下来,因为他们深知在此之前斯大林对中共的偏见。而苏共执政的苏联和中共的关系,也一直处于很微妙的境地。
At 15:00 on October 1, 1949, at Tiananmen Square, the five-star red flag was rising. President Mao Zedong solemnly declared to the world that the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China was formally established today.
