Lu Xun’s The Madman’s Diary (1918) and Danzhai’s Dream Day (1916) together show the process of the author’s spiritual regeneration or ideological identification. Through first-time enlightenment or initial enlightenment, the protagonists (“Mad Men” and “Amin”) find the evil in this closest human relationship. Afterwards, the protagonists criticized these evils in different ways, but in the end they could not help but succumb to setbacks and even imprisonment. After the madman realized that he was not “real man” who did not eat human desires, he was able to get out of the state of madness; he realized that he was not “real patriot” after all but his country , To escape from hell prison. As can be seen from the analysis, “Madman Diary” and “Dream Heaven” in the structural and ideological similarity.
