约翰·巴斯的长篇小说《书信集》以向历史、政治和现实主义的回归为主题,讨论小说的指涉性问题。本文把《书信集》放在当代历史学的论题下,结合尼采以来西方理论界关于现代性与后现代性的讨论,指出把历史与现代性这两个矛盾体“合而观之”的努力已经预示着后现代历史学的危机。
John Bath’s novel The Epistle focuses on the return of history, politics and realism and discusses the referential features of the novel. This paper puts Epistar under the theme of contemporary history and combines the discussion on modernity and postmodernity in western theorists since Nietzsche pointed out the efforts of “reconciling the two conflicting bodies of history and modernity” Has foreshadowed the crisis of postmodern history.
