在内蒙大青沟自然保护区,海拔200米左右的林下,生长着一种野花——大花杓兰。大花杓兰(Cypripedium macranthum)是兰科的多年生草本植物。株高25—50厘米,具3—5片叶,叶互生,椭圆形。花单生,少为2朵,紫红或淡紫红色,花瓣披针形,唇瓣囊状,似口袋,土名叫大口袋花,蒙语叫它温旦格花(意为鸡蛋花)。叶片宽大,植株生长茁壮,野生林内,6月上旬开花,8月上旬蒴果成熟。在百花草丛中是很有观赏价值的。大花杓兰常与水杨梅、牛心菜和蕨类植物
