改革开放带来了社会经济的迅速发展，但由于现行社会保障制度滞后于社会经济的发展，未能迅速与之配套，由此带来了一系列社会问题。当前，建立和完善市场经济条件下新型社会保障制度势在必行。本文结合我国人口多、民族多、各地经济发展极不平衡的国情，指出了有中国特色的社会保障制度的发展方向：社会化、基金化、法制化、统一化、产业化、专业化。
The rapid economic and social development brought about by the reform and opening up has brought about a series of social problems due to lagging behind of the current social security system in the development of social economy and its failure to rapidly support it. At present, it is imperative to establish and perfect a new type of social security system under the conditions of a market economy. In this paper, the development of social security system with Chinese characteristics is pointed out based on China’s large population, multi-nationalities and uneven economic development in different parts of the country. Social, fund-raising, legalization, unification, industrialization and specialization are pointed out.
