On December 26, 2005, entrusted by the Fisheries Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, experts from the National Aquatic Species and Leguminous Approval Committee organized expert reviews and acceptance of Jiangsu Hongze aquatic breeding farm. Hongze aquatic breeding farm is a project invested by the national thoroughbred project. The project uses two technical routes of Fuling silver crucian carp and Xingguo red carp, allogynogenetic silver crucian carp breeding line and Xingguo red carp to breed reserve broodstock.
