Yang Hongming, a member of the Communist Party of China and a member of the CPPCC National Committee in Kunming, graduated from Nanjing Forestry College in 1984 and was assigned to the Forest Disease and Pest Control quarantine station in Kunming. In 1993, he served as a deputy stationmaster and was a stationmaster in 1998 and a senior engineer at the same time. In 2003, he served as director of Kunming Forestry Research Institute. In the past 20 years, he has won more than 10 scientific and technological awards at all levels, and has successively been awarded 20 awards by provincial and municipal governments and relevant departments.
