在营林工作中,选择超级苗造林是培育速生丰产林的重要技术措施。近年来,许多地区在林木良种繁育过程中应用超级苗建立母树林和种子园,也收到了良好的效果。据认为,一个较老的树种,在其长期的生长和发育过程中,由于个体受不同地理环境、立地条件的影响和有产生天然杂种的可能,从而形成一些优良类型。用这种优良植株的种子育苗或造林,可以保持其固有的优良特性。因此,选择超级苗是林木良种化的主要手段之一。
In the forest work, the choice of super seedling afforestation is an important technical measure to cultivate fast growing high yield forest. In recent years, in many areas, super seedlings have been used to establish mother trees and seed orchards in the breeding of forest trees and good results have also been received. It is believed that an older tree species, in its long-term growth and development, is well-formed due to the individual’s being affected by different geographical conditions, site conditions and the possibility of producing natural hybrids. Seedling or afforestation with seeds of this fine plant can retain its inherent good characteristics. Therefore, the choice of super seedlings is one of the main means of forest seed improvement.
