一种以生物病毒代替农药的安全无毒的新型杀虫剂日前在南宁投产,年产300吨。不合理使用化学农药,引起害虫抗药性日趋严重、农副产品中的农药残留量增加,危害人畜健康,生态环境遭到破坏,这种副效应已引起世界各国的关注。这种生物病毒杀虫剂采用基因工程手段,把生物病毒注入白蛾体内,然后将感染了病毒的白蛾制成颗粒药剂撒到农作物上,害虫一旦感染了这些病毒,就会因体内基因受到破坏而死亡。这种新型杀虫剂是由武汉大学病毒研究所孟小林教授和广西天罡生物工程有限公司合作生产的。该项目作为国家“九五”科技重点攻关项目,目前已全面进入中试阶段。

This new type of insecticide is produced by Professor Meng Xiaolin from Wuhan University Institute of Virology and Guangxi Tian-Gang Bio-engineering Co., Ltd. The project as a national “95” science and technology key research project, has now fully entered the pilot phase.
