萨义德的东方学历来有三种含义,即学科含义、思维方式含义、话语含义。这样的含义的存在是合理的,但是同时他也是有阶段性的一个变化过程。西方对东方的幻想造就了很多的想象的思维方式,在发现的不断深化的过程中,西方的思维方式进行了不断地改变:想象视野的出现、对东方的图式化解读以及最终造成的文本性态度。前两种含义的相互交织,成就了东方学的话语体系。本论文的内容在于举例说明这三种含义复杂的变动过程,这也是《东方学》的核心。
Sayin’s oriental education has three meanings, namely, disciplinary meaning, way of thinking means, discourse meaning.
