As the century and millennium alternate, all mankind is about to enter a symbolic period. Humans should seize the opportunity to learn lessons from the tragedies that took place in the past century and to work for the advent of a world in which the spirit of progress, justice, tolerance and solidarity will bloom. This is a longing for the two peoples in France and China. It is particularly worth mentioning that because they are equally proud of their respective cultures and similarly concerned about their solemn holding of their due status in ethnic harmony, the two peoples are brought into close hands. The intimate relationship between our two peoples calls for the two countries to strengthen mutual visits at all levels and in various fields in order to better understand each other and formulate common plans.
