The predecessor of Wuhan Construction Engineering Group was the Wuhan Construction Industry Bureau. In 1983, the bureau was changed to be the head office. The separation of government and enterprises and the beginning of the market began. In 1992, it was transformed into the first engineering general contracting group in Hubei Province. Since then, the group has embarked on the path of extraordinary development. After the establishment of the group, the marketing amount and profit grew at an average annual rate of 45% and 293% respectively, ranking among the top 8 in Hubei’s largest industrial enterprise group and ranking 9th in the nation’s construction enterprise profits tax.
