2006年8月12日,国家邮政局发行的《天子山》邮资明信片正式作为天子山索道公司的邮资门票首发使用。邮资图为张家界本土摄影家孙建华先生摄影的落日余晖掩隐下的天子山御笔峰,这也是御笔峰第三次出现在国家发行的邮资图案上。为配合“武陵源邮票”、“武陵源邮资明信片”、“天子山邮资明信片”邮票或邮资明信片等发行和使用,张家界市邮政局、武陵源区邮政局先后启用了3套风景日戳。
