地理实验有狭义和广义之分,广义的地理实验包括地理观察、地理调查、地理制作、地理实验等,其不仅出现在地理课堂中,还出现在家庭和社会,使地理教学与自然、社会、现实生活、经济建设相结合。狭义的地理实验是指运用一定的器材和设备,人为地将所要学习的地理事物和现象及其变化过程表现出来,以获得和验证地理知识的实验。地理实验具有形象性、具体性、直接性和真实性的特点,是地理教师在地理教育教学过程中实现师生互动的重要手段。本文所涉及的是狭义的地理实验。
