中国学界对《希腊罗马名人传》的译介,经历了由新中国成立初期的部分译介和到如今的全部译介的发展过程,共计四个版本。但是,在这个发展过程中,出现了两个对读者阅读和理解有着较大影响的问题。一是在文本准确性与注释准确性的关系上,存在重视文本准确性而忽视注释准确性的问题。二是在完整性与目的性关系上,存在节译本中传记选取的目的性和由此造成的完整性缺失和全译本中由于译者主观的译制导向,造成读者受译者影响而使读者对原文理解产生缺失的问题。造成以上两个问题的原因一是制度和社会层面的限制,二是译者对翻译的理解产生了偏差。
The Chinese academic circle translated and introduced the biography of the Greco-Roman celebrities through four parts: the partial translation and introduction from the early days of the founding of New China and the current development of all translations and interpretations. However, during the course of this development, there have been two problems that have a great impact on readers’ reading and comprehension. First, in the relationship between the accuracy of the text and the accuracy of the comment, there is a problem that the accuracy of the text is ignored and the accuracy of the comment is ignored. Second, in the relationship between completeness and purpose, the purpose of the selection of biographies in the section translation and the lack of completeness caused by the biographical translation exist. In the whole translation, due to the subjective translation orientation of the translator, the reader is influenced by the translator The original text to understand the problem of missing. One of the causes of the above two problems is the limitation of the system and the social level. The other is the deviation of the translator’s understanding of translation.
