Some mono-anthracene formate and bis-anthracene formate were synthesized and their absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra were measured in various media.Long-chain esters were drawn into LB films and characterized by fluorescence microscopy and transmission microscopy They have also done their spin coating in PMMA, comparing their fluorescence spectra in a variety of environments and finding the diversity of the anthracene formate fluorescence.
