她是新中国铁路历史上的第一位女调度员,全国著名劳动模范,曾当选为第一、二、三届全国人大代表。1951年,她担任火车调度员后,探索归纳出一套调度方法,不仅缩短了列车的停留时间,还能多牵引货物。“孙孝菊调度法”在全国铁路推广后,给国家节省资金达一亿五千多万元。当年,她被选为全国铁路劳动模范,受到朱德总司令的亲切接见。1958年5月,她担任了沈阳火车站副站长,是建国后第一位铁路女站长。
She is the first female dispatcher in the history of the new China Railway, a famous model worker in the country, and was elected as the first, second and third NPC deputies. In 1951, after serving as a train dispatcher, she explored and summarized a set of scheduling methods, which not only shortened the stay time of trains but also allowed more traction. “Sun Xiaoju scheduling method ” in the national railway promotion, to save the country up to one hundred and fifty million yuan of funds. That year, she was selected as a national model of railway labor, commended by Commander Zhu De. May 1958, she served as deputy stationmaster of Shenyang Railway Station, is the first railroad stationmaster after the founding of the PRC.
