Hybrid materials of vanadium nitride and porous carbon nanoparticles（VN/PCNPs） were fabricated by a facile pyrolysis process of vanadium pentoxide（V2O5） xerogel and melamine at relatively low temperature of 800 °C for supercapacitor application. The
