On the morning of October 16, 2003, Yang Liwei took the “Shenzhou” spacecraft No. 5 to land in the space for 21 hours orbiting the Earth and then smoothly landed out of the return capsule to become “the first man in space in China.” Before participating in the astronaut selection, Yang Liwei had worked and worked in an aviation department of the Chengdu Military Region Air Force in Chongqing for 4 years. He is now a pilot pilot of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, a pilot, four meteorological pilots, and a four-aircraft pilot who flew safely 1149 hours and 33 minutes. In August 1996, Yang Liwei was confirmed as the first Chinese astronaut candidate here and officially became one of the first astronauts in China in January 1998. On the afternoon of October 14, when a reporter learned that Yang Liwei might become China’s first astronaut to travel in space, he immediately drove to an interview with an aviation unit stationed in Chengdu Military Region Air Force in Chongqing. Once and Yang Liwei life, work and flying comrades told reporters about the Yang Liwei astronauts before the story.
