On June 1, Excite and Sinanet, a Chinese information site, announced the joint offer of the Chinese engine, which landed on the Chinese information market after Altavista, Yahoo !, another well-known engine site. The two sides added more than 1 million pages of Chinese webpage information to the original SinaSearch and provided Internet users with simple, complex and GB5 Big5 code search. SinaSearch, powered by Excite technology, will allow Web users to get richer search results.
