伟大的中华人民共和国在中国共产党的英明领导下,已经改变了半封建半殖民地的国家,进入了新的历史伟大时期。社会主义建设事业各个方面,都是以史无前例的速度向前发展。就从卫生战线上来说,旧肚会遗留下来危害人民最剧烈的傅染病,象天花、鼠疫、霍乱等已基本上消灭,血吸虫病、性病以及其它各种傅染病也都作了有效的控制。过去帝国主义御用学者别有用心带着显明的政治阴谋倡导疫病周期性流行,以麻痹我国人民的谰言,在觉醒起来的中国人民的面前被粉碎了,今天已是“民无夭扎,物无疵癘”,劳动人民身体健康获得了有力的保证,向着光明幸福的大道迈进,在今天建国十周年伟大节日的狂欢中,是值得引以自豪的。
The great People’s Republic of China, under the wise leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, has changed the semi-feudal and semi-colonial country and entered a new great historical period. All aspects of the cause of socialist construction are moving forward at an unprecedented rate. From a health front, the old belly will end up harming the most violent diseases of the people. Smallpox, plague and cholera have basically been eliminated. Schistosomiasis, sexually transmitted diseases and other kinds of diseases have also been effectively controlled. In the past, imperialist academics, with ulterior motives and in conspicuous political conspiracies, advocated the cyclical epidemic to paralyze the myths of our people and shattered them in the wake of the awakened Chinese people. Today it is “ ”The working people’s health has gained a firm guarantee and marching toward a bright and happy avenue. It is with pride that we are proud of today’s grand celebration of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic.
