计算机的发明是人类历史上的重大科学成就。众所周知,绝大多数现代计算机的运算都采用二进位制数学方法。那么,二进位制数学的创始者是谁呢?近年来国内几家报刊登载过几篇文章,有的断言中国周易六十四卦卦爻排列的顺序符合二进位制,故应认为六十四卦的创始者为二进位制的最先制定者;有的则认为二进位制是德国著名哲学家莱布尼茨在六十四卦两个易图的启发下制定的。笔者在研究莱布尼茨与中国哲学的关系时发现上述说法与史实有出入。事实是莱布尼茨在1701年11月4日得到法国耶稣会士白晋赠送的六十四卦图象之前的22年(即1679年)已经独立研究并提出了二进位制数学方法。而且,正是由于莱布尼茨的发现,易经卦爻的二进制排列顺序才被发现和确定下来。
The invention of the computer is a major scientific achievement in human history. As we all know, the vast majority of modern computing uses binary mathematical methods. So who is the founder of the binary system of mathematics? In recent years, several domestic newspapers published several articles, some asserting that the order of the sixty-four hexagrams in the Chinese Book of Circles complies with the binary system, it should be considered 64 The originator of the hexagrams is the earliest maker of the binary system, while others think that the binary system was developed under the two easy-to-understand images of the 64 hexagram by Leibniz, the famous German philosopher. When I studied the relationship between Leibniz and Chinese philosophy, I found that the above statement differs from the historical facts. The fact is that Leibniz had independently studied and proposed the binary system of mathematics 22 years before the 64-hexagram (1679) presented by the French Jesuit George White on November 4, 1701. Moreover, it is because of the discovery of Leibniz that the order of the bibliography of the I Ching theory was discovered and confirmed.
