In 1994, the industry’s total sales were 15 billion yuan and there were more than 2,700 kinds of products. There were more than 3,000 companies engaged in the production of food and packaging machinery all year round. The food and packaging machinery industry has become the 12 largest industries directly managed by the Ministry of Machinery Industry. First, the China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association has also joined the COPAMA under the approval of the competent authority and has become the second member country in Asia.
