It was observed that the magnesium content (910 ± 76 μg / g dry weight) in guinea pig cerebral cortex at 1 kHz after 120 dB (SPL) high intensity pure tone exposure for 30 min was lower than that of the control group (1034 ± 95 μg / g dry weight) (P <0.05); the content of copper (16.9 ± 4.6μg / g dry weight) was higher than that of the control group (11,2 ± 2.6μg / g dry weight) Plasma magnesium, copper content compared with the control group, the difference was not significant. The results suggest that there is a relationship between magnesium and copper in the cerebral cortex and acoustic damage.
