最近在西貢突然发生的事件和吳庭艳家族專政在軍人首领叛变下的悽慘垮台,首先表明美帝国主义想在南越維持其統治权的野心正在遭到越来越大的困难。日內瓦协定签訂后,直接剝削殖民地的制度虽巳被放棄,但在原来的印度支那南部,不論在政治上或軍事上、实际上都已由美帝国主义代替了法帝国主义。但是不应因此而低估法国壟断資本仍然保持在南越的财政和經济地位。最近戴高乐將軍发表的关于越南問題的声明,还表露着法帝国主义对这一地区事态发展的关注。
The recent sudden incidents in Sai Kung and the miserable collapse of the Ng Ting Yan family tyranny under the mutiny of the military chiefs first show that the ambition of the U.S. imperialists to maintain their sovereignty in South Vietnam is being increasingly challenged. Although the system of direct exploitation of the colonies after the signing of the Geneva agreement has been abandoned, in the original southern Indochina, the imperialists were practically replaced by the US imperialists, politically and militarily. However, it should not be underestimated that French monopoly capital will remain in the financial and economic position of South Vietnam. The recent statement by General de Gaulle on the Vietnam issue also shows the concern of the French imperialists over the developments in the region.
