城市是人类社会发展进入文明阶段的重要表现形式,同样是社会政治、经济、文化中最先进部分的重要空间载体。城市的发展和社会的发展具有极大的同步性,城市史是作为人类历史的重要组成部分而存在的。中国作为世界文明古国之一,城市发展更是有悠久的历史。中国封建社会的城市是在政治经济影响下产生和发展的,是封建政治统治的主要空间表现形式。
City is an important manifestation of the development of human society into the civilized stage.
