1987年4月19～23日,中国铁道牵引动力委员会与中国内燃机学会大功率柴油机委员会、中国造船工程学会轮机委员会及中国兵工学会发动机学会联合在西南交通大学召开第五届大功率柴油机学术年会。有90多个单位的223名代表参加了会议。会议共收到论文95篇。其中铁路代表提供的论文有41篇。论文中反映了近二年来在研究大功率柴油机方面所取得的成果,主要有:
April 19-23, 1987, China Railway Traction Power Committee and the Chinese Academy of internal combustion engine high-power Diesel Engine Committee, China Shipbuilding Engineering Society Marine Engineers Committee and the Chinese Academy of Artillery Engine Society jointly held in Southwest Jiaotong University, the Fifth High-power Diesel Academic Year meeting. 223 delegates from over 90 units attended the meeting.
