我国的英语教育,从小学到大学,乃至研究生,基本上是遵循RP(Received Pronunciation)语音体系,即:英国音的英语语音教学体系。然而,还有一种就是GA(General American)语音体系,即:美国“普通话”。美国之音英语广播采用的语音体系就是GA。RP与GA是两种不尽相同的语音体系,在某些方面差别还相当大。举个简单的例子来说,情态动词can的否定式can’t,RP的发音为;/ka:nt/,而GA则为:/knt/。两种发音在下面这个例子中,学生往往会作出相反的理解。例如:He can’t do that,GA发音为:/hi:knt du:t/。请注意can’t的发音,因为后面的动词do的第一个字母d的发音,是爆破音,can’t的最后一个音/t/失去爆破。于是,乍听起来,句子中的can’t/knt/与RP的can/kn/差不多。那么对一个长期受RP语音体系熏陶的学生来说,完全可能作出与原意完全相反的理解。因此,语音障碍是学生听力困难的根本原因之
English education in our country, from elementary school to university, and even graduate students, basically follows the RP (Received Pronunciation) phonetic system, that is, English phonetic English pronunciation teaching system. However, there is another kind of GA (General American) voice system, namely: the United States, “Mandarin.” The voice system used by Voice of America in English is GA. RP and GA are two different voice systems, in some ways the difference is still quite large. For a simple example, the negative of a modal can can not be, the pronunciation of RP is; / ka: nt /, while GA is: / knt /. Two pronunciations In the following example, students tend to make the opposite interpretation. For example: He can not do that, GA pronounced as: / hi: knt du: t /. Note that the pronunciation of can not, because the pronunciation of the first letter d of the back verb do, is the last sound of the plosion, can not / t / lose the blast. So, at first glance, can not / knt / in a sentence is about the same as can / kn / in RP. Then for a long-term students affected by the RP voice system, it is entirely possible to make exactly the opposite of the original meaning of understanding. Therefore, speech impairment is the root cause of students’ hearing difficulties
