美国1993年四项重大科技进展中,位居第三的信息技术有新发展,人机对话技术正走向产业化。1993年内,美国的电脑、有线电视、电话、网络等技术不断融合,最令人瞩目的是开发出用于人机对话的电脑与电视一体化产品,使电视能收看的频道达500个。美国还于1993年5月率先正式制定高清晰度电视标准,试图在这一技术领域获得垄断地位。
Of the four major scientific and technological advances made by the United States in 1993, the third-ranking information technology has seen new development, and man-machine dialogue technology is moving toward industrialization. The most remarkable thing was the development of a computer-TV integration product for human-machine dialogue, which enabled the television to watch 500 channels. The United States also took the lead in formulating high-definition television standards in May 1993 and tried to obtain a monopoly in this technology field.
