Reaction of ethyl L-cysteinate with carbon disulfide in the presence of Et3N gave ethyl (R) -tetrahydrothiazole-2-thione-4-carboxylate which was reacted with 3- (2- (R) -N-3- (2-oxocyclohexyl) propionyl tetrahydrothiazole 2 is reacted in the presence of N, N-dicyclohexylaminediimine (DCC) Thione-4-carboxylate ethyl ester and optically active 3- (2-oxocyclohexyl) propionic acid. The semi-empirical quantum chemical PM3 method was used to study the optimal configuration and electronic structure of reactants and products.
