The Netrin family is known for its classic neurogenic factors. In recent years, however, a series of studies have found that netrins are widely expressed in non-nervous tissues, suggesting that the function of the netrin family is not as simple as previously understood. Among them, the possible bidirectional effect of netrin-1 in promoting and inhibiting angiogenesis is undoubtedly the most concern of the netrin family of new functions. Although there is much debate about the exact role of netrin-1 in angiogenesis, it deepens our understanding of the close relationship between the nervous system and the vasculature and also contributes to the clinical development of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases Neuropathy and other treatment and inhibition of tumor angiogenesis provides a new idea. This review summarizes the potential bi-directional effects of netrin-1 on angiogenesis and its potential clinical implications.
